Do you think the reason right wing men cheat on their wives is the right teaches women to be ashamed of sex?

Serious question here people.
The religious right teaches women that sex is a shameful act, and should be for procreation only. Then the right wing men go and cheat on their wives because they aren’t getting what the need in bed. Is this yet another example of the hypocrisy and oppression of the right?
Do you think the reason right wing men cheat on their wives is the right teaches women to be ashamed of sex? help from other idatemarriedmen.com visitors…

yeah yeah yeah, pathetic that even when dems/libs are in power all they can worry about STILL is any Republicans every move LOL
No, Sanford was hangin’ with Slick Willy and John Edwards and picked up on some bad habits.
Left wing men cheat on their wives also!! Clinton ring a bell?
Yeah, I have heard right wing women are known for saying ew a lot in bed. That can’t be fun.
Tell that to Bill Clinton. It seems like left wingers who are gay teach people to be ashamed of having sex with someone whos the opposite gender if they are not gay. I think your question needs to be aimed towards leftwingers.
The social right wingers also teach that marriage is sacred. So rather than fess up to their marriage not working, and separating, right wing couples will simply try to cover it up.
It’s the same reason why the GOP tries to claim they hold family values close, as they want to lower teen pregnancy. In reality, what people did in times of high family values is cover up a teen pregnancy, by claiming it’s the wife’s baby, not the daughter’s. If you look up stories of girls suddenly dropping out of school to go to a boarding school/home school for half a year, and suddenly the wife of the family has a new kid, that’s probably an old cover up.
Making infidelity a partisan issue is completely ridiculous.
Does it offend you when the media claims that actions made against a individual will influence the vote of the entire group or people similar to the individual? For instance, people saying that speaking out against Sotomayor will make you lose the Hispanic vote? Completely absurd…
So then what are the left being taught? Plenty of infidelity going on with the Dems n libs. Clinton, Kennedy, FDR, Edwards…list goes on and on and on…
By your logic, the Left must be taught that is is ok to be a lying cheat no matter how rockin the wife is in bed.
Good Question!!
Here is an idea…
Ask Bill Clinton, or any of the Kennedy men (remember Marylin Monroe?), or an abundance of other left wing pervs.
Infidelity is bi-partisan…the only difference is Democrats resign. Republicans don”t.
Seems both sides have there scandals vote.
at least we don’t have sex with women using a cigar
There is a big difference in a Catholic (no offense to anyone here-my hubby was raised Roman Catholic-I went twice and couldn’t take it..it’s kind of oppressive..) and Christians. We now go to a Presbyterian church where nothing related to sex is ever discussed which is awesome because we have kids and firmly believe it is no one’s job except our own to talk to them about sex..
Anyway-regarding your question-I have never heard any complaints from my husband. We have been together for about 7 years now (I am 25, he is 29) and married for 3 years. We are very happy with our love life and even though he is gone most of the day and 6 days a week (he is a supervisor for a cable subcontractor), we always find a way to get in some ‘alone time.’
You can not judge the majority of Christians or Republicans by the actions of one guy…he doesn’t represent me. And I think he should resign anyway-if he can lie to his wife and kids, he can lie to the people of SC. I hate all politicians-but especially the ones that make a mockery of marriage after preaching family values. He looks like an idiot, has destroyed his family and has deceived a lot of people-he doesn’t deserve to be governor.
This question begs another question. Is the right more likely to cheat than the left?
A quick google search turned up a blog post [1]. Obviously, this source should be taken for what it is. It is anything but a peer-reviewed reference and so should be taken with some skepticism. If someone turns up a more reputable study that contradicts its conclusions, then I won’t argue.
Anyway, the writer culled GSS [2] data to summarize the incidence of infidelity across a number of variables. One of them was the self-described political standing of cheaters. Among both men and women, the number of liberals among cheaters was significantly more than the numbers of moderates and conservatives. Conservatives made up the smallest part of the samples.
Now, it may be that liberals would have been less likely to say that cheating is wrong. In that respect, a different study could conceivably demonstrate a greater incidence of hypocrisy in conservatives. But to the extent that you believe cheating is wrong, the conclusion of this research is that it is a greater problem among liberals.
All of that aside, what you describe may have a role in some (maybe even many) cases of infidelity. There are many social norms (many of which are accepted by both the left and the right) that create quite a bit of sexual tension. To be sure, the right is more likely to advocate repressing sexual impulses. I believe that this does sometimes lead to a lack of satisfaction and, possibly, philandering.
For more on societal attitudes on sex, I found this essay [3] very interesting and possibly useful for you in considering your question.
